Calculate personal year 2026 and 2027
Your personal year shows which themes and lessons take center stage in your nine-year cycle.
Each calendar year brings a different phase, from initiating and planting seeds (a 1-year) to completing and letting go (a 9-year). Use the tool below to discover which theme applies to you in 2026 or 2027.

How to calculate your personal year
The calculation is simple: add your day of birth, your month of birth, and the calendar year together.
Example (born August 15 for the year 2027):
- Day 15 + Month 8 + Year 2027 = 2050
- Add the digits of the total: 2 + 0 + 5 + 0 = 7
- Reduce to a single digit: Personal year 7
Note: Unlike life purpose numbers, personal years do not use master numbers. The result is always a single digit from 1 to 9.
Meanings of all 9 personal years
Read what each phase in the nine-year cycle represents:
Personal year 1
New beginnings and initiative
A 1-year marks the start of a fresh nine-year cycle. After completing the previous cycle, this is the time to set new directions and plant seeds. It calls for independent initiative. Do not wait for perfect timing. Begin and adjust along the way. What you start this year sets the foundation for the next nine years.
Personal year 2
Patience, balance, and cooperation
What you began last year now needs time to develop. This is not a year to force results. It is a time for listening, collaborating, and trusting that things unfold in their own time. Relationships are central. Notice your boundaries: cooperation is healthy, erasing yourself is not.
Personal year 3
Creativity, expression, and social connection
A 3-year brings your voice and ideas into the open. This is a time to create, write, speak, and connect. Social interactions often expand. The main pitfall is scattering your energy across too many things. Choose what matters most to you and focus your attention there.
Personal year 4
Structure, foundations, and steady work
A 4-year is about organizing and building. This is the year to bring order to what you started. Organize finances, turn ideas into practical plans, and establish solid routines. It is rarely the most exciting year, but it is often one of the most productive.
Personal year 5
Change, freedom, and adaptability
After the structural work of year 4, energy shifts into movement. Expect the unexpected. This is a year to stay flexible, explore new experiences, and let go of rigid habits. The pitfall is impulsiveness: not every change is an improvement. Choose deliberately.
Personal year 6
Home, family, and responsibility
A 6-year draws your attention toward the people closest to you. Family, home life, and close relationships take center stage. It is a practical year for home improvements or clarifying domestic responsibilities. Be mindful not to overextend yourself in caring for others at the expense of your own needs.
Personal year 7
Reflection, study, and quiet focus
A 7-year turns your focus inward. External activity slows so that deeper understanding can take root. Read, study, and examine where you stand. Social obligations can take a back seat. This is not a year for major outward pushes, but for insights that prove valuable later.
Personal year 8
Achievement, practical results, and responsibility
An 8-year brings the results of previous years into clear view. This is a period of harvest and material progress. Career developments and practical decisions come to the forefront. It also reveals where earlier foundations were weak. Be honest about what works and handle resources with care.
Personal year 9
Completion, letting go, and transition
A 9-year marks the close of your nine-year cycle. This is the time to wrap up projects and release what no longer fits your life. Projects, beliefs, or habits that have run their course can be let go. Clearing away the old creates space for the new cycle beginning next year.
