How does your life path relate to that of your partner, a friend or a colleague? Choose two numbers below.

Choose two life path numbers
Life paths 1 and 7 belong to the same group. You often understand what the other needs without much explanation. It helps to notice where you do differ, because that is easy to overlook.
The three groups of numbers
In classical numerology, the numbers are divided into three groups:
1 · 5 · 7
Love independence, thinking things through and freedom. They easily understand that the other person needs space.
2 · 4 · 8 · 22
Like to build something solid, whether that is a family or a business. Reliable and persistent.
3 · 6 · 9 · 11 · 33
Sensitive and social. They light up when they get to be creative and have real contact.
How I read two life paths
I do not give a score, and I never call two numbers a bad match. Every combination can work well. What I look at is what each person needs to feel good, and where those needs meet or rub against each other. That is something like a user manual for the other person.
Two numbers from the same group often understand each other quickly. Two numbers from different groups need a bit more explanation, and they also have more to learn from each other.
What each life path needs in a relationship
- 1Room to make their own choices, and someone who does not take that personally.
- 2Feeling truly heard. Small gestures say a lot.
- 3Lightness, and someone who listens to their stories, the heavier ones too.
- 4Clarity, and promises that are kept.
- 5Freedom, and discovering something new together now and then.
- 6A warm home, and care that flows both ways.
- 7Honest conversations and time alone, without that meaning distance.
- 8Equality, and the trust to build something together.
- 9Shared ideals, and room to receive as well as give.
- 11Understanding for their sensitivity, and enough rest.
- 22A shared vision, and time for small things next to the big plans.
- 33Someone who looks after them too.
An example: life path 4 and 5
A 4 feels safe with plans and agreements. A 5 feels safe with room and change. On a free Saturday, the 4 may want to know what the day will look like, while the 5 would rather see where the day takes them.
Neither is wrong. Once they know this about each other, the 4 can offer a base within which the 5 feels free, and the 5 can help the 4 let go now and then. A difference like this only becomes hard when each person thinks their own way is the only right one.
More than one number
The life path is one of twelve numbers in a blueprint. Two people with the same pair of life paths can still be very different, because the other positions, such as the birthday number, colour the picture. In the relationship report I put both full blueprints side by side and look at six themes in your relationship.
Questions I often get
Is there a number that does not suit mine?
No. Some combinations need more words than others, but no number rules out a good relationship. Numerology can help you understand each other. It does not decide whether you belong together.
Does this also work for friends, family or colleagues?
Yes. The same needs play a part in every relationship. Try putting your number next to that of a parent, a child or a close friend. You may recognise patterns you had never put into words.
Curious how things work between the two of you?
With both your birth dates I look beyond the life path: what draws you to each other, where communication rubs and where you grow together.
